Millivolt Drop Testers (With Dc Constant Current Source)
 
MILLIVOLT DROP TESTER
 

   

Basically the tester is an adjustable constant D.C. current source with Digital Millivolt Meter provided to check drop across the test points at set current.

a) The D.C current can be set to any value between 0-20 Amp, and 10 - 100 Amp in two ranges selectable with Switch which can be read on Digital Ammeter.

b) The D.C Digital Millivolt Meter will be provided with three ranges as 19.99, 199.9 and 1999 mV ( 2 volts) D.C.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Input : 3 phase, 400 volt, 50 Hz A.C.
Output : 0-100 Amp D.C settable by pot.meter/1 volt max.
Regulation : +/- 0.2% for 10% of input voltage variation and load variation from 10 to 100%.
 
Controls : 1. Mains ON/OFF switch `sw1'
2. Current range selector switch.
3. Current setting pot-meters (fine & coarse) `P'.
4. `TEST OFF','TEST ON' and 'PUSH to READ' Push buttons PB-1, PB-2, PB-3 respectively.
  
Metering :

1. 3 & 1/2 digit D.C. Ammeter along with shunt of 20A/100 mV with accuracy.

a) 0.5% of range or 1% of reading digit.
b) 100 A/100 mV to read test current.

2. 3 & 1/2 digit D.C. Millivolt Meter having three ranges as 19.99 mV, 199.9 mV & 1999 mV(2 volt)(accuracy 1% of reading)
 

Indication : Lamp Indication is provided for(1) Mains ON and (2) Test ON. Current output, insulated terminals of 100A capacity will be brought out on front. Pressure Terminals, marked as P1 & P2 are also on front for measuring drop across test piece.
Enclosure : The unit is Floor mounted and air cooled type.
Paint : The enclosure is M.S. powder coated.
